Rufus Giwa Poly student hacked to d3ath in Ondo
Unknown assailants have k!lled a student of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic in Owo, Ondo State, identified as Oluwaseun.
Oluwaseun, a new student in the Department of Mass Communication, was hacked to d3ath at Opomulero Street in Owo on Monday, February 17, 2025, just a few weeks into his academic journey.
A fellow student, who who spoke under anonymity on Wednesday said that Oluwaseun had been on campus for barely two months and also pursued music alongside his studies
"He was a fresher who had spent just three to four weeks on campus. In fact, he was a course representative. It is sad that we lost him. Unfortunately, he was macheted,” the source said.
A spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the incident but said more details would be provided later.
“It happened but I will give you the details later,” the PPRO said.
